JOB SUMMARY
MUST BE AN ARCTIC SLOPE REGIONAL CORPORATION SHAREHOLDER
The Nutaaq is responsible for assisting journey-level trade workers such in all phases of work associated with a particular trade area. This position works under direct supervision of the journey-level trade worker and performs a variety of tasks to gain experience and improve technical understanding and skills in the use of trade tools and equipment.
- Assist the journey-level trade worker with the general trade and craft areas including troubleshooting, repairs, installation, and construction tasks.
- Follow guidelines, handbooks, state and federal codes, and verbal and written instructions and directions to perform the assigned tasks.
- Perform skilled trade work commensurate with years of experience and training.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment relevant to selected trade.
- Move, load, and carry materials and equipment as required.
- Maintain tools and equipment inventory.
- Prepare routine reports and safety audits.
- Maintain monthly hour logs in accordance with Company procedures.
- Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
- Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
The ASRC Energy Services Nutaaq apprentice program requires a high school diploma or equivalency at a minimum. All successful applicants will be required to sign a release of information form and pass the education background check as a condition of employment. Must be an ASRC shareholder to be qualified for this position. Verification and/or documentation may be required.
CERTIFICATIONS
North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification and valid driver’s license required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

- MOBILITY: Must be able to access all areas of the job site

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and may be required to travel in small and large commercial aircraft.

A candidate must be able to meet the following non-exclusive requirements:
- Meet the AES Driving Records and Motor Vehicle Use Policy.
- Take and pass a pre-employment drug test which may include both UA and hair testing.
- Meet the physical requirements of this position including working in a remote location under arctic conditions.
- Required to take and pass a Fit-For-Duty Exam
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an access badge for the work location.
The availability of this position is contingent upon the Company’s continued operational needs once training is completed.
